Punjabi University Contract Teachers Burn Effigy of Vice-Chancellor

Contract teachers of Punjabi University burned an effigy of the Vice-Chancellor and raised slogans against the university administration. The protesting teachers strongly expressed their anger over the alleged delay in addressing their demands.
Demands :
The teachers demanded the implementation of the 2018 regulations and the decision of the High Court. The teachers’ leaders alleged that the government and Punjabi University administration were deliberately ignoring their demands.
Teachers Present :
Parveen Kumar, Satish Kumar, Aman Kumar, Naveen Futela, Mandeep Singh, Karamjit Singh, Rohit Kumar and Rashpal Singh were among those present. Several students were also present during the protest.
